GIVE VIEWS AND OPINIONS.Some woods and field hunting. I'M ONLY CONSIDERING A REMINGTON MODEL 7. HAVE PLENTY IF 700'S IN OTHER CALIBRES.

I would recommend the 308 due to better availablity and selection of factory hunting ammo over the 7mm-08, but either way you go you made a good choice.
I seriously doubt that when you shoot a deer it is gonna stop and say "WOW That was a 7mm-08!!" It doesn't matter they both do the job VERY well!
That's like asking if you want a T-bone or a porterhouse. Both are great. It really comes down to personal preference. I personally use a 7-08 loaded with 140 grain Nosler Accubonds. Kills them quite well.
