Remington 1100 Stock

How come no one seems to make a folding stock for the tactical Remington 1100? I found this pistol grip:

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=91885587

Don't know who it's made by.

But, I would rather a top folding stock. The guy selling this auction is saying it will fit the 870 or the 1100, so are they close. Can I adapt an 870 stock to fit an 1100?

THANKS!

I think Duck means the "action spring tube", that sticks out of the rear of the receiver. You really don't want to cut it off with a hacksaw, although it's your gun & you can do what you want.

Technically, I guess the seller of the grip is correct. It WILL fit on a 1100, but it will require that the action spring tube stick out the back.

I wish I could discourage you from putting any folding or hand-grip stock on a shotgun. They have no practical value. You can't hit squat with a shotgun unless you have (& use) a shoulder stock.

Same reason you dont see on on an AR rifle. There are moving parts back there.

Thanks Guy's, thats why I asked.

I have not even disassembled to know whats inside. I was just searching for the part to get a price and noticed that I couldn't find a stock anywhere. Only that one auction. I knew there had to be a good reason.
