Broken cross hairs on scope

My questions are: How does this affect the scope?
When you adjust the scope, does the crosshairs move, or the object it is focused on?

The reason I ask is that I bought a scope on-line and the crosshairs are broken with a very slight, hardly noticable break. If I move the adjustments, will the crosshairs move and separate more or will the crosshairs stay in the same place.

Hello some cross hairs are etched on a glass lens and some are fine wire/spiderweb/ it all depends on what your scope has if etched it will most likely not get worst if it is wire it will fall out of place with recoil.

I seem to recall there is somebody on gunhaterbay.com who offers to fix crosshairs.

Had an old Weaver scope many years ago with broken cross hairs. Took it apart and used human hair as a replacement. Looked like a couple of pipes in there.

If it is a Nikon, Leupold Redfield send it in for repair. If it is not one of those, get you money back!!!
