Benelli SBE II

This is my dream shotgun. I have always used a Mossberg 835 and I am ready to make a big upgrade. Just a few questions. I primarily turkey hunt, so a camo SBE with a 24" barrel is what I will be getting. I do dove hunt as well, so will the 24" barrel be a problem there? How well will this gun hold its value? I have never owned a semi-auto shotgun, how easy is the SBE to clean and oil? And finally, is it really worth the money? Thanks

Mine is not the II model but the earlier gun. Mine handles all 3 length shells with ease. It has a 26" barrel.
Yours should be just fine for doves. I have downed hundreds of doves with mine, in addition to these ducks below. They are easy to take apart for cleaning.... you'll love it. Benelli's hold their value as good or better than most other guns.
In my opinion, they are well worth the money. It will provide you with many years of dependable service.

Remove barrel nut
Remove barrel
Remove bolt
Clean
Reasemble in reverse order
And it takes as long to break the gun down as it does to read the instructions I just gave you.
Joe: I just gave another side to the story you had already told[:D]
