Remington 700 classic stock

I ended up picking up a Remington 700 classic in a 25.06. It didn't have the original wood stock on it though. Will the Classic model fit in a different model's stock, or will I have to find a classic stock? I got a good deal on the rifle, but I was a bit sad I didn't get the original stock.[B)]

If you can find a long action Classic stock it should fit. I'm pretty sure that the barrel channel for all the cartridges(Classic) is the same.
You can use the 700 ADL stock also, but will loose the hinged floor plate, for whatever thats worth...
The standard ADL/BDL stock for me, is one of the worst, most punishing designs out there. The classic stock, on the other hand, seems to fit me like a glove and is definately more comfortable with comparable loads. It may be just the opposite for you, but it's a good thing to check out. If you do go with the ADL, in addition to losing floorplate, you may want a new trigger guard.
Good luck,
