"Midland Gun Co" was the name of a English Co., who sold utility grade shotguns. They dated to the late 19th Century, and might have been actually made in Belgium, ( either just the barrels, or the complete shotgun ).

The proof marks on the shotgun should identify, the country of origin of the barrels and complete shotgun. Not likely it left the factory with short barrels though. As the barrels are most likely of Damascus construction, it is very questionable if it would be even safe to fire? Perhaps it would be best to hang it over the fire place as a decorator, or conversation piece.
