I have a mint condition Government model gloss blue finish .45 1911.(only had one or two rounds put through it in the last 90 yrs.)
I am curious as to its value. It is still in it's original box with the pamphlet that came with it at purchase.

I have digital pictures of it for any that are interested.

Please refer to the topic at the top of the experts forum (this forum) listed as "Posting Photographs". It will enable all to see the quality of your 1929 vintage Colt. Thank you, Joe

Hello Richard Sounds like a great Pistol made 1929 The box and paperwork would add value and make this pistol VERY DESIRABLE if you ever wanted to sell this was after the change to 1911A1 type parts and during the first 1000 after the markings on the left side of the slide were changed.

Put it up for auction and the market will determine the value of the pistol. Unless you are really hard up for money, having a Colt in the box, from that era, I would hold on to it and not sell it, because you will never be able to replace it.
