What to pay for Browning Gold hunter.

My cousin wants to sell me his 12 guage shotgun. It is a Browning Gold hunter, it has only a single round through it. He wants me to say a price. I want to make it fair, but I also want a good deal. You know as much info as I do right now, I don't have the exact specifics on the rifle. How much should I offer for it? Also the rifle is only a couple of years old.

Need more info. Black stock?? Wood stock. 3 inch chamber?? 3&1/2 inch chamber?? Etc?? Post a pic.

It is the wood stock. I'm not sure of the chamber, probably 3". It may be safer for me to assume the cheaper options.

No point in ripping off your friend. I should think a minimum of $450-$475 if it is in similar shape. That would be a 'great deal'. New ones are well over $700.
