Remington 700 Barrel

Recently acquired a replacement barrel for my remington 700 and just have a quick question as to the manufacturer if anyone should happen to know. It is a 24" matte stainless sporting contour barrel chambered for 7mm wby mag. Only markings on barrel are obviously the chambering and CCG. If anyone knows who made this barrel I'd appreciate any info. Thank you in advance.

Can somebody tell me if a barrel removed from a Remington 700 will fit a Remington 7? One more question. Could somebody tell me if it's possible to rebore a rifle barrel to a larger caliber, and a ballpark guess as to what it would cost, assuming it is possible? Thank You

    aomregcik,

    Welcome to the GB forums!

Trying to identify an aftermarket barrel without full rollmarks or other markings is almost impossible. In this case, the only CCG I'm aware of is CCG Firearms in Texas:

    http://www.ccgfirearms.com/

"Rebarreling with Krieger and Pacnor Barrels"

You can call or e-mail them to see if they will backtrack the rifle's serial number to see if they did the work but no guarantees.

    Best.
