It appears that in today's climate that if I want to pick up some 9mm plinking ammo that I'm going to have no alternative other than some import brands I'm not particulary familiar with. Anyone have experience with Wolf, Silver Bear, or S&B and which is the preferable brand since they all seem to be priced reasonably close?

I recently bought a baby eagle full size 9mm I have problems with the cheap Winchester ammo, basically extracting the spent casing and then jamming. Don't notice a problem with other brands. I just want to make sure it is not the gun. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

More then likely it's Czech. That was the standard type of packing they used for their submachine gun ammo in the 50's. Their submachine guns had a special fitting on the side of the forearm, to enable the 8 round stripper clips to load the magazines. You can identify the Czech ammo of that early 50's era, by the bxn headstamp.

As a addendum, if it is the original Czech 9mm ammo on the strippers? It would probably would have substantial collectors value nowadays. As the feds have banned it because of its mild steel core and high velocity loading. Both gunshop commandos and collectors covet the stuff, specially if you have a unopened box.
