Hi Y'all:
I wanted to see if anyone knew if all of the Fox/Savage model B SXS 12s are safe to shoot with modern ammo? Assuming that everything else is tight and the firearm is in good shape of course. Also, is there a sight with model B info on serial numbers, production data, etc? Thank y'all and Merry Christmas!

George

The steel is fine for modern shells but I for one would not fire STEEL shot duck and geese loads in one as the early ones date back from before steel shot was even thought of. There are other Duck loads that are legal but have softer shot or at least not as hard on the inside finish of the barrels.

Thank you. I do not shoot steel out of anything, just seems wrong. (IMHO). (I do not own any new shotguns, so my opinion works well for me.
