I have a Brazilian Comblain Rifle S/N 28115.(Determined by extra locking screw on left side of Breech. Rifle has original bluing thin on sides of Breech. Bore clean no pitting, action clean with slight pitting on "drop block" around firing. Not a collector, but from a shooters point of view in good working order. Gunsmith would have to verify safety. This was mfg. by ED Malherbe, Liege Belgium. I will be selling it but really don't know how. Could use some help with basics in how to go about. Not on listing it.( I can follow directions on this sight if I choose to list it here) Maybe an idea of value. I have posted photos before but not to this forum so will have to learn all over.

I am also trying to learn how to download to these topics. S/N 28115, length 38.5", wgt 7-8lbs, clean Bore, bluing original but thin in places. Nice looking rifle. Made in Liege Belgium, by ED Malherbe. Possibly in 1888. Wood has lots of dings and two holes were drilled to mount rifle to board.

It's difficult to price a firearm that isn't normally encountered. Post quality pictures to whichever site you decide to sell it on, it will help greatly, getting it sold. As with everything value is based on demand, i.e. two or more folks competing with each other to buy it. Unfortunately it's been my personal experience, that rarity doesn't always translate into great value. I've had dealings with many folks in the past who felt their firearms were as rare and valuable as the crown jewels of England. They wound up eating them, because there were to few buyers who had a interest in acquiring them, unless the price was right, no matter their rarity.

Post to the forum at this URL, you might find someone with specific knowledge regarding the Brazilian Comblain.

    Thanks,
I sure you are right. I am not a collector and have little interest in this rifle although firing it does appeal to me. Found sites that could supply ammunition, cost is high @ $12.50 per round, so I would only fire it a few times. I am sure it kicks like a mule. Believe it 11.5 cal. Interesting as a drop block concealed hammer breech load.
