I have several guns that I would like to sell on gunbroker and I have a few questions.
I do not have an ffl, can I sell to an individual and ship it to his or her dealer that has an ffl or do I have to send it ffl to ffl?

+1 to what us55840 said. Make sure that you state in your auction something to the effect of:

"Seller is not an FFL holder. It is Buyers responsibility to ensure that their FFL will accept shipment from a non-FFL holder!"

Also, if you sell a handgun, you can not ship it via USPS. You are required to ship it via FedEx or UPS and they require that it go overnight. This could lead to a $50-60 shipping charge. Your best bet in that case is to find an FFL who would be willing to ship the handgun via USPS (FFLs can do that). I would work out a deal ahead of time, such as you paying them $5.00 per and providing shipping materials.

A private citizen can ship TO a FFL (01 Dealer). The buyer sends you a copy of the FFL, you ship to the address on the FFL. Buyer picks up from FFL, and does paperwork with the dealer. You might specify in ad that receiving FFL must be willing to recieve from a private party. Some won't. You may mail rifle or shotgun to FFL by US mail- you may not mail a handgun, but use UPS Air Adult signature required. This is pricy- it may be cheaper to have a local dealer ship it for you- THEY can use the mail.

I had a FFL dealer call the BATF on me because I hadn't sent him a FFL with the shotgun..When the BATF man got to hear the complaint,he suggested the dealer to READ the information they gave him with his license and not to call him again..Unless there was a law broken..The buyer was there to witness his dealers embarassment..I guess he was not so damned smart afterall.."Life comes at you fast"
Made my year I had even suggested five places he could check for the law..Still said I was wrong..modoc
