I don't think so. That's kind of like the drive-up ATM's with braille instructions. No one blind is going to be using a rifle scope. Besides, except for really cheap scopes, the scope "picture" is going to be pretty much the same for everyone.

However, I HAVE seen military training sight attachments that allow the trainer to see the iron sight picture that the shooter has. Could this be what you are thinking of?

THIS IS A FUTURE CUSTOMER. HIS HUNTING PARTNER LEADS HIM THROUGH THE WOODS LINES UP THE GUN AND THEN HE CAN SHOOT. I BELIEVE HE CAN STILL SEE BUT IS CONSIDERED LEGALLY BLIND. THE GUIDE SAW A RIFLE OUTFITTED WITH 2 SCOPES JUST FOR THIS PURPOSE ON BUCKMASTERS. AWHILE BACK, I HAVE TRYIED TO RESEARCH THIS BUT NO LUCK. JUST WONDERING IF ANY ONE ELSE SAW THE EPISODE. THANKS

YOU CAME TO THE RIGHT PLACE!!! My son is a blind shooter and I have the info you need. We have been shooting for 8 years with over 2 dozen whitetails plus and elk and exotic sheep. Currently Brad is shooting steel plates at 300 meters with 80% hits.

By the way that rifle on Buckmasters was likely ours. We've been in the magazine and on TV a couple of times.

    Mobuck,
I have a customer who is slowly losing his sight. Could you forward the info on this scope set-up to me so I can talk to him about it?
    Thanks,
    Mike

I'm wondering why Mobuck doesn't post the information. Isn't that what this Forum is all about?

I've posted our adaptation many times and I didn't want to bore the others who have seen it. Anyone who wants or needs the information can email me at robertthead@hotmail.com. My son lost his sight at age 12 in 2000. He had hunted some before the loss and I felt it would increase his confidence and promote a return of hand to eye coordination if he could continue to shoot. I developed an offset scope mount which sets about 4" to the right of the regular scope base holding either an Aimpoint or a long eye relief pistol scope. The original used a steel base with the offset TIG welded on. With the proliferation of side mounted rails for the M-4's the idea can be accomplished w/o welding in some cases. Brad is target shooting with an AR 15 that is adapted using over the counter parts which are user friendly bolt on pieces. If you let me know what type of firearm the shooter uses, I can give you some specific info on what might work for him. We have also adapted a Remington 870 for trap shooting and a 10-22 for plinking. I have also set up a rifle for a right handed shooter who lost her right eye and wanted to continue to shoot right handed and a rifle for handicapped children who needed help aiming.
