I would like any information on a Gustav Bittner Double barrel shotgun. It was made in Weipert,Austria. The shoygun appears to be a high quality piece. It has 28" barrels in 16 gauge and has auto ejectors.. It is a side lock and is modestly engraved. It has a near exhibition grade English? walnut stock that is heavily marbled. The barrels are fluid steel and marked Bohler Antinit. Any replies will be appreciated.

Gustav Bittner is noted in my reference as being a well known gunsmith/gunmaker, located in what was then Bohemia. A province of Austria-Hungary. He seems to have been in business from the 19th Century, to the years after the First World War. From your description of the shotgun, it appears to be of fairly modern manufacture, i.e. after the First World War.
