I had a customer today ask about a scope mount that is for the handicap. He is legally blind, but hunts with a guide. His guide helps site in the he shoots. His guide told him about seeing a mount for a rifle that has a extension for a second scope to be mounted up and slightly off to the side. This way the quide spots the rifle at the same time he can look through the other to shoot his target. Has anyone heard of this or knows where to find?

I just recently purchased a Norinco SKS. Great gun. I am looking to add a scope for it. I was wondering in your opinion of any SKS owners what the best type of mount there is to use. I would appreciate some input on this before I make my decision.

I am trying to find a weaver type mount for my Taurus Raging Bull 480 Ruger. It has a short barrel (4 0r 5 inches. I was told that the B Square mount made for the 454 Casull would fit but it is too long. I would prefer not to have to do any gunsmithing if I can get away with it. Any suggestions?

I replied to your other post also. The assisted sighting devices I have fabricated have been more or less prototypes. The first ones were mounted to the original scope with double back to back rings which proved the idea worked but were fragile and clumsy. From there, I went to a welded unit which hold zero pretty well but is still unhandy to carry and requires a double size gun case. I have used both a normally mounted scope and the add on mostly as a backup. Having a good scope mounted on the rifle is an advantage in that it makes it easy to confirm the zero of the add on which is more likely to get bumped. Additionally, we have hunted a couple of places where I was not allowed to carry a rifle and the scope on Brad's rifle would facilitate a backup shot should it be needed. The AR15 we're shooting now has only the open sights on top rather than a scope but it's not a hunting gun right now so it is no problem. I would be very happy to assist in any way I can to help your hunter get back in the field.
