Hi, I have this gun that i dont really want. Im trying to get an idea of value. I see some of them selling in fair shape for around $500 - Mine is in decent shape, but does have a scope on it and no rear peep site. shoots nice, has 1 magazine. Do you think it would be a fair trade if I tried to get a NEW non western style revolver 22lr (like a taurus model 94 SS) in trade straight across for my model 65?

You will be taking a hoseing.No taurus is woth that much.

Yeah, thats selling for a bunch. But mine isnt that nice. Plus someone has added a scope to it. The metal finish is good, but the wood could use restained and a couple short hairline cracks could use some mending.

What would the value of my gun be in that condition, with no rear peep? Thanks guys!

In the condition you have described, your M65 will sell at retail in the $200 to $250 range. Exellent condition, US marked pieces may sell for as high as $650. The scope mount is a price killer to collectors - your gun is a "shooter" that needs a bit of work. The one offered for over 1000 bucks is a real charmer, but I'm thinking the vendor will have it for a pretty long time before it acrues that much value to a collector.
