Hello all.

I have a guy that is wanting to trade me a Savage 170 in 30-30 for my Browning BBR in 3006. I have checked the auction side and it seems that the Savages are going for about $400.

I have two questions. Are the Savages becoming more collectable? The answer to this should answer my next question which is, does this sound like a reasonable trade?

I've been watching the auctions for over a year seems to be the going rate the engraved ones seem to be going for about 50.00 dollars more and the .35 rem ones for about 500.00 They are accurate rifles mine loves the new Hornaday stuff
Browning bbr probaly worth 500 to 700 from looking at auction side

I bought a Savage 170, 30-30, about 2 years ago, with a pretty good Bushnell scope on it, for $229.99 plus tax. I bought a Browning BBR, 25-06, about five years ago for $300 plus tax. I consider both purchases good buys for the money. The Browning did not have a scope on it.
