Head is .407 so is the neck, rim is .470, case length .465, overlenth .915. I am not a collector. I am posting these rounds for auction. I did not want to guess the calibers. Bullet diameter and case mouth diameter should be the same (ish) dimention, as these use a heeled bullet just like todays 22LR does.

    #1 is a 22/6mm BB cap
#2 is a 32, but not one I have in my collection. I'd have to guess "Extra Short".
    #3 is a 41 Short

Thanks Tailgunner I was not sure if the 41 short was a 41 Roper or ammo for the Colt No. 2 Derringer. Do you know where the best place on the web to go to find a better way for me to investigate different types of ammo. I have alot of old ammo I would like to identfy before posting them. Semper Fi. For the best internet source, esp on the more exotic ones like the Roper, ask on the forums over at www.cartridgecollectors.org Photos are a big assist there, www.photobucket.com is a great (and free) photo host, if you need one of those.

I based my answers on the bullet diameter, case length and cross checked the OAL when compairing yours to my data base of the samples in my collection (time constraints during work hours) and the "normal" production tolerances of the early RF ammo (they vary a lot BTW). I didn't attempt to also look at the Rim diameter. My referance material is 160 miles away, and I won't/wouldn't have a chance to look any deeper into your cases until the weekend.
John(?) Barbers book on US & Canadian Rimfires is among the best published work on the topic. For a more general (boad spectrum) referance, pick up a copy of "Cartridges Of The World".
