Can anyone tell me the age and value of the Savage 9476 single shot 12 gauge. This gun does not have a scratch on it and has never been fired. Thanks

In 1920, Savage purchased J. Stevens Arms.

I think perhaps you own a Stevens Model 9476.

If this is the case, the gun is worth "Near mint" about $200.00.

Are you sure it is a model 9476? The only one I know of that is similiar to that is the model 9478 which carries the Stevens name which is a Savage brand. They were an inexpensive shotgun when they were manufactured and are prone to breakage of certian parts. In this area a good to excellent one will bring &70.-$75. An unfired one might bring $125. as they are not a collectable. The model 9478 was introduced in 1974 and manufactured, I believe until the mid 80's.
