What info to include when shipping to FFL

I'm getting ready to sell my first firearms on GB. I do not have a FFL and was just wondering what info you like to include when sending a firearm to an FFL. I'd also like to hear from FFL's on what you folks like as well. I was planning on sending both the buyer's and my address and phone #'s with the package. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks! [:)]

the receiving ffl will have to log into his book the name and address of the person or business from which the firearm was received. As an ffl I prefer to have a copy of the shipper's ffl or if he/she is not an ffl then a photocopy of the driver's license of the shipper/seller. I think it is up to the receiving ffl as to what type identification of the seller he/she wants. Some have the policy that they will only receive from another ffl dealer.

You should CLEARLY STATE in your ad that you are a NON-LICENSEE as some FFL dealers can't or won't accept firearms from a non-FFL. By stating that upfront, you can prevent problems in the event you have a buyer in that type of situation. You might also consider arranging shipment through your local FFL dealer. However, just your name and address are insufficent. You must send a copy of your driver's license or other government-issued ID.

    Thanks for the replies!

    Spider 7115,
I was already planning on stating in my ad that I'm not an FFL. I've heard here on GB and from Herschel that some FFL's will only accept from other FFL's. I had also thought about going through a local FFL. Just considering my options.

    HenryOReilly,
That's a nice statement. If I don't go through an FFL I'll probably use that.

    Thanks again! [:D]
