What do the experts value a pre WWI mauser action by JP Sauer & Sons.

Bolt handle is non original and its been drilled and tapped.
Thanx for your input.

With any of this sort of item it's value is often what ever you can get for it. If I saw that brand and vintage of action, complete, little to no finish left and partly sporterized at a local gun show I'd expect to see a price on it ranging from $100 to $200 depending on how badly the seller wanted it gone. An original non altered with finish action of that brand and vintage would likely be more like $300 or so.

Realistic price would be about a hundred bucks, maybe $125. It's ruined for collecting and no butcher builder is happy unless he has drilled and carved on it himself.
A few weeks ago I paid a little over five for a complete and unaltered Sauer und Sohn Gewehr 98.
