open fixed choke/shotgun barrel

hello;

how difficult is it to open the choke on a shotgun barrel, i.e. skb, full and mod. would like to have them open to imp. cyl/ skeet. estimate cost? thanks.

    varies. 50.00 to 75.00 per bbl. approx.

    Hello rp85: Well being down there in Baton Rouge, LA and quail country, I think I might consider "thin wall choke tubes" by Briley. there may be some days that Modifed choke will come in handy.

    You should know what ever you do, while making it a more practicle gun for you, it will most likely hurt the guns value, especially if it's a 20,28, or .410!

    How long are the barrels? It might cheeper to have em cut off and have a bead put back on.

    rp85, give Reynerson's in Central or Rich's on Monterey a call. Two good local gunsmith's who won't bend you over the proverbial barrel.

    OnlyWinchesters, quail is hard to find in this part of the country. Everyone I know is going to Miss. to shoot pen raised. The modern farmer and "developer" don't leave anything for quail habitat.
