HEY! Does anyone know if Remington is still importing the Spartan line of shotguns? I emailed remington and was told they are but not as many. When I ask why it was not on their web or in the 2009 catalog or where I could get info on them I got no response on first asking. On second attempt I was told that they did not know. What kind of answer is this. I own a SPR 220 20ga. and really like it (300 shells no problems) and mite like to have a 12ga. SPR 220. Any help? Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Tommy

Most are very tight and do not open well. Yo get what you pay for.

Most people see that as being better than too loose. I have a Stevens 411 made by Baikal and now sold by Remington. Good gun, but not as pretty as Italian or Belgian guns.

I am sorry sir, but this is not a Remington. Yes, it does have the Remington name assosciated with it, but it is made in Russia at the Bakail plant. I have a 410 side by side made by them, called the IZH-43, and was imported by European American Armoury. It was/is great for a $270.00 gun, and has features such as single selective trigger, and auto ejectors. Fit and finnish are definately not Beretta/Browning quality...nor REMINGTON.

I have a 20g. I bought it as a "loaner" for the skeet range. Has probably 1k rounds through it. No problems, breaks birds. As stated above, a little tight, but I consider that a good thing. I bought some remington chokes on clearance at W-mart for $5 each, but I haven't tried them to see if they fit yet.

    Good luck.
