Was a rib vent a factory option on any Winchester 97 shotguns?

I have never seen one. I know Winchester started adding the vent rib on the m12 in around 1918 and since the 97 was in production until the late 50's they had the capability. Even the most elaborate pigeon grades that I have seen had a solid rib. It has been said that Winchester would build anything you want so surely somewhere there is one. ???

No, it was not. The only barrel option available for the Model 1897/97 was a matted barrel.
