Militech Mausers

Has anyone had any experience with Militech K98 Mausers? They claim they sell only numbers matching, non-Russian imports. However; they replace all of the stocks with new ones, which doesn't seem to help the gun's value. Does anyone know of a reputable source for high end K98s? L.suglia@verizon.net

For original high end ones you just need to know your stuff and hit gunshows. All the good ones were imported long ago.

To me it seems like they are pretty much the same as Mitchell's Mausers. They make mismatched rifles look nice, and charge atleast three times as much as its worth. If they were all original I think they would have sold out a long time ago and would have been charging more for them.

    Strike Three ....
I don't even know this outfit....but it is following in the shadow of Mitchells, and most of their carefully worded adds are , well, mis-leading.

Plus, as mentioned , it makes no sense...
    What ...
They found a cache of guns that are jewels that nobody else knows about and they are passing on their luck with fantastic savings to you ! ?

Empire Arms is a very reputable internet dealer of high quality European military guns.
He doesn't have any K98s right now that are not Russian capture, but he does get them in. Dennis is very accurate in his descriptions of his rifles. If you get a gun from him and you don't like it, you can return it for any reason, or for no reason.
Also you could scroll down on the left side to the Want List. You can put your name in, describe what you want, and Dennis will probably find it for you.
    Good luck!

Keep an eye on what Aim Surplus has. I've gotten a very high quality 98K and an even better, all matching 24/47 Mauser from them. Only paid $259 for the 98K with perfect bore and walnut stock and only $109 for the 24/47.
