U.S. revolver gun

We have a U.S. revolver hand gun that we would like some information on. The code under the hand grip is E 1195 (it may be an F but I think it is an E). It is a 7 shot 22 revolver. Any information you can give me on this piece would be greatly appreciated.

    I believe that "U.S. Revolver" was a Trade Name used by Iver Johnson on their economy line of revolvers. If you hang tight, Bill Goforth, ( He wrote the book on I.J.'s ), will be by in a bit, to give you the skinny on your revolver.

    US Revolver was one of a handful of manufacturers that mass produced very inexpensive revolvers, they are of little or no value, not too much collector interest, as there were so many produced and the quality was substandard.

    Every gun has some value, if not a lot. They're usually under $100 (more like $50-$75) but some people enjoy collecting them.

    this is a u.s. revolver co. automatic top break revolver. they were manufactured between 1910 and 1935. serial number E1195 was manufactured in 1919. there were 750 of this model made that year. the 22 rimfire caliber u.s. revolver top break has the lowest production of all u.s. revolver co handguns. in fact for a massed produced revolver they are rare with just a little over 100,000 being manufactured. production on the 22 top break stopped in 1923, while the other models went on until 1935 with totals of over 175,000 each.
