Here is an old SxS 12 ga. that needs a forend (including iron), stock and top rib. Just a project gun. No markings except the "London Fluid Steel" and serial number, and "03". No proof marks. I guess this is one that had the maker's name on the top rib.
Action, locks, etc. in very good condition. The barrels, inside and out, are VG except toward the muzzle where someone tried to braze the bottom rib, and cut a hole in one barrel. I plan to cut the barrels back to 18 1/2 inches. I may have a stock that will work, haven't checked yet. The top rib is about 1/2" wide. Anyone know what type forend iron I need, or where I can find a forend and rib? Or is my best bet to check the gun shows for parts? If you can tell me anything about this shotgun, possible maker, etc., I would really appreciate it.

Numrich Arms has (or had) some rough SxS walnut blanks. They have a website: http://www.e-gunparts.com/ , so give them a shot. They may even have some finished forends that you could use.

Their catalog is about $15.00 delivered. This catalog has a lot of very useful items for projects and parts replacement and the catalog itself is a good reference because it has a large number of exploded diagrams of handguns, shotguns and rifles along with part names and other references. I don't think you need to buy it every year to get some good out of it. Oftentimes it is difficult to find something online and online browsing is not the same as thumbing liesurely through a hard-copy catalog.
