I have personally handled and shot one, and they look, and feel splendid. I am not sure about the longevity of it, as it was just a breif grouse hunt, but boy, does it handle nice. I think i liked it better than my Franchi 48AL in 28 gauge.

    elk caller,

I have one in over/under. It was a little stiff while getting broken in but now it's functioning great. Light and easy pointing for me.

The only thing I wish I had done differently was get the model with the ejectors.

Overall I think it's a good buy for what I got it for but I would, after looking at their prices lately, opt to spend a couple hundred more for the Browning.

If you are referring to the Huglu shotguns that are made in Turkey then I can offer some information. I bought one when I was stationed in Turkey between 1984 and 1987. I paid about $275.00 for it and it is a twelve gauge over and under. It has the chromed receiver with mild engraving. Nothing fancy. I have shot many many rounds through this gun. It broke in very nicely and is real smooth now. I have never fired any magnum shells or slugs out of it, just no need. It has been a good gun. As I recall it is a pirate copy of a Browning Superposed. Turkey does not have a copyright law so they copy everything they get their hands on.

    Hope this helps.

Huglu's QC was "iffy' at best until the Sporting Clays got into full swing. Huglu realized they had to change to stay in the market. The reason they seem to have a resemblance to a Browning is because they hired Browning and Winchester techs to redesign their shotgun line.
My only complaint would be the weight of the Turk walnut, but that would be a plus in a 28ga. Get a single selective trigger with ejectors, extractors if you reload.
