I am looking to purchase a new gun at a reasonable price. The mossburg mo. 100 ATR look to be a nice gun but I have been told this is a cheap gun made be Rapter. The Savage is 200 is a better gun for the price I have been told. Anybody have any thoughts Thanks Busman

Looking for some opinions. I'm deciding what I want to do with a new gun. Primarily, I'm looking for a solution for a permanent gun for deer and turkey. I have a Mossberg 835. Option 1 is to buy a slug barrel for it, and mount some kind of scope on it, and just change barrels for deer and turkey, in which case I'll probably go out and buy the new 935 for waterfowl hunting, since thats where the majority of my shooting is as far as 12 gauge goes. Option 2 is to buy a single-shot, interchangable barreled gun. The two I like most are the T/C Encore and the new Mossberg SSI....I really like the value and quality of Mossberg, so thats probably my first choice in that department right now. They dont have as many barrels as the T/C, but more than enough to fit my purposes. Does anyone have an opinion? Or good/bad experiences with the 935 or SSI? Thanks

$255.00 is a great deal if the gun is in nice shape. What shape is the gun in?

Did you look up the date of manufacturing? Pre 1964 Winchesters are worth more.

I didn't know people still sold winchesters for under $500.00.

Enjoy your gun, as you own a peice of history.....

some people do if they are in a need for fast cash and or don't know much about what they have--I picked up a Model 94 that was made pre 1900 with a octagon barrel at a estate sale for $375 a few years back[:D]

Thanks fellows and what would you ask if selling it? It has had 5 shells shot through it I have the rest of the box of 20 shells.Ev jr[:D]

Oh I forgot to mention one of you asked about its condition. Looks like it was just taken out of the box.[:)]

I'm guessing Serial number 6051832 was manufactured sometime in the late 90's.

Like new in box should bring right around 500.00.

Nice catch, as the gun will only go up in value.

Mid 90's is correct. Pre 64 models had to use a side mount scope. They wern't drilled and tapped for any scope.
