I am looking around for a nice Yugoslavian Mauser M48. Any one know of any dealers who carry those type of rifles?

The Yugo M48/M48A is a good rifle. They have no real historical interest, as they were made after WWII. But, most are close to new condition, so it is a nice shooter.

They sold in the $100-150 range for excellent ones a few years ago, while the Mitchell Mauser version (new appearance & accesssories) went for $299.

My favorite Yugo is the model 24/47 which I belive was frist produced in '24 and then modified at the factory in '47. It and the '48 version are copies of the FN M24 which is an intermediate length true large ring Mauser 98 action and is about 1/4" shorter then the standard length M98. Yes they are worth a look, especially if you can find one of the armory recondition ones with an as new bore and bluing. They will cost more but are well worth it.
