Winchester Serial Number???

I have Winchester 70 featherweight in .280 the serial number is
G307XXX and yes only 6 digits I checked it out many times

any info would be great on year or if this a mis printed serial number?

What you have is a U.S. Repeating Arms Co. (U.S.R.a.Co.) manufactured rifle Model 70, and it most likely was manufactured in the late 1990s or shortly after the turn of the century. You can contact U.S.R.A.Co. using the information in the "Serial Number References" Sticky at the top of the forum.

Berts right,mod 70 classic featherweight mfg1992-2006, unless it has the BOSS system. that one was mfg 1996 only. I have classic f-w BOSS, paid 400.00 four years ago.
