Mossberg Ported barrel/ported turkey choke tube?

I went to Cabela's and bought a new barrel for a 12 gauge Mossberg 500 that has a rifled slug barrel on it.
About 3" from the front end of the barrel are holes, eight on each side of the rib, which I assume are ports.
It is a 28" barrel with a rib.
I want to get a turkey choke tube for it and I plan on shooting number five 3" Remington Nitro Turkey shells that I also bought today at Cabela's.
When looking at possible turkey choke tubes I see that some are ported and some are not.
I am thinking that I should get the choke tube that does not have the ports, because the added ports might be to much, but I really don't know.
Can anyone offer any advise?
Thanks,
DSM

More ports = less recoil, I don't see a down side to that.
OK, thanks, I just wanted to be sure.
