I am split on which to buy, what are the differences and which is better? I am also a left handed shooter so which pistol would be easier to switch over?

The best thing to do is to find both and see which one fits your hand better. The gun that fits you the best will be the best fit for you.

BTW: Also take a look at the SIG 220, if the HK's do not fit you well then the SIG will.
