Do any of you know where I might get a 26" improved cyclinder bore 12 gauge tube for my ancient Model 37 Featherweight pump?

It's going to take a lot of looking at auctions to find what you want. The new Ithaca is back in business, but they don't list parts on their web site, you have to call them. Hope this helps.

is your "ancient" ithaca serial # above or below 855,000. makes a difference in barrels and interchangability

That serial number will not allow you to interchange barrels as they needed to be fitted at the factory that's closed..
