hi i just got a new winchester model 37a 16 guage and i'm trying to figure out how old it is how can i do this?

    The 37A was manufactured in Canada from 1973 - 1980.

    I assume you are asking us "how much is it worth? If so, that depends upon the graded condition (like all firearms), but in this case, it is easy enough to provide a price range... $50 for a well used but still functional gun, to maybe $150 for one that is like new. Most people in the states are not bigh fans of the 16 gauge, or single-shot shot guns that is 28 - 35 years old. It can not be used with modern steel-shot loaded shells.

    i'm only 13 so i like to shoot smaller guns and i love old guns anytime i can get one i take it

    It should be a great first "starter" shotgun for a 13-year old young fellow. I would like to caution you again though about not shooting any steel shot loaded shells. The integral choke was not designed for the extra hard shot pellets, and it will damage the bore. Even though they cost more money, it will be much better for the gun if you use Bismuth loaded shot shells.
