class 3 paperwork question

I've never seen the actual paperwork an individual would have for something full auto. You may remember a post a few weeks ago about a coworkers uncle that died, and they found 4 sets of paperwork for what may be registered auto sears in his safe. Would the item that is registered be on the tax papers anywhere? He thinks that the actual sears are in a safe deposit box ... which the family is having to wait on probate for...

Also, what are just teh registered sears worth? Same as a complete gun minus the cost of a semi gun? I've tried searching completed auctions, no "only sears" have been sold/posted recently...
