.244 cal. and 6mm the same ?

    It depends on what you're referring to. The .224 Rem. cartridge is the same as the 6mm Rem. cartridge so yes, you can shoot both in the same rifle. If you're asking about something other than this, please be more specific.

    The 244 Rem and the 6mm Rem are the same cartridge with 2 names.
    The 244 Rem rifles came with a slower twist barrel, and don't handle the heavier bullets very well. The 6mm Rem barrels have the same twist as a 243Win does, and will handle the heavier bullets quite well.
