Value of a Leupold Vari x IIc

I recently bought a used Leupold Vari X IIc 3x9x40 from an older gentleman that no longer hunts.
The scope is gloss and has some light ring marks and a small quarter of an inch scratch on top of the objective bell.
It is clear and the lenses look good as well.
I was thinking of putting it on one of my rifles but bought a Nikon Monarch new for a great price so i was thinking of now selling the Leupold.
According to the prefix number this scope was made in the early 80's.
Any idea of what it's worth?
