Trigger pull - Marlin Model 883 S/S 22 Magnum Rifl

Is the trigger on this rifle adjustable? It seems to have a heavy pull.

And if so, can I adjust the trigger pull on this my self or should I get a gun smith do it?

Thanks

Any gunsmith can adjust the trigger for you.

Marlin also sells an aftermarket "varmint/target" trigger but they cost around $85.00 or so. That is the better way to go I think. I had my 882SS dialed down and it still isn't as smooth and crisp as I would like. It was 11 lbs. of pull when I got it. I was literally shaking by the time I got the trigger pulled. Good Luck, although I do say that now I have it down to about 2-2.5lbs it is a lot better.

P.S. You could do the work but if you didn't feel comfortable I would Certainly have a gunsmith do it for you.
