has anyone shot one of these?

i'd like to get one but i read somewhere that the trigger pull requires 20lb of force in double action and 14 ponds in single action.

that seems pretty extreme. how does it feel?

Very weak.More fun to hold than to shoot.

surplusrifle.com confirms your numbers. Designed that way. Made a great symbol of authority, and a lousy weapon. IMHO[:p]

    Lousy weapon?

I love my Nagant -- just wish I could find cheaper ammo for it. I have the 32 auto cylinder, but love shooting the true gas-seal ammo in it.

Single action trigger pull isn't that bad. I don't bother with the double action. (I think it was last year that ShotGun News did an article about gunsmithing on the Nagant; they described working on the trigger pull.)

The gun itself is low enough in price, that even if you got one and didn't share my opinion that it is a terrific revolver, you're out very little money (and should be able to re-sell it pretty easily).
