Please post some pictures, and give us the model number/name. I am thinking it is a TCR 83 at this point.

It is a Thompson Center TCR (as in, I'd guess - Thompson Center Rifle) and they were made in the early into late 80's.

Go to the single shot rifle section on GB and type in TCR - you'll get a few hits.

Can't give you much more info, much as I like the T/Cs it's one I don't have.

I'm jumpin' in here without the experience of owning one of these rifles. But based on current prices the three barrels would run a couple hundred bucks each and the action the same. Used, the scope would give you a solid hunert. That's nine by my tally so far...bare minimum.

So, for resale, I'd say bare bottom ...1k. It's a rare bird and needs a good place to be. Put it on a long time auction so that it can be seen by someone who wants that particular model and the extra calibers.

What was your experience with these regarding accuracy? Good trigger pull?

Very limited but very good. We had one at our range one day and the guy was working up loads.... .5 to 1 MOA.

I got this gun on a trade about 5 years ago, I gave it to my son for a xmas present he killed a big mule deer with the 7mag and a few yotes with the 223 with the triggers set I know it under 2 pounds I have a couple timineys so I know good triggers.I am in the middle of a 7mm STW build and my son might want to sell it to start his own build.Do you think it would hurt the value of it if we had the stock redone? its in preatty bad shape theres a chip out of the forehand and some deep schrates

    smoknclays,

While these aren't a very common item, they don't really fit into the collector category. So, for purposes of making it look better I don't think refinishing the stock will hurt. That said you'll hear it down the road if these ever do become a collectors item, that refinishing the stock hurt the value. I say you can't guess what's going to be hot ten years from now. If you want to improve the price fix the stock.
