What does the blue book list for the value of a Remington 600 chambered in .243 Winchester at around 90%? Sorry I don't have any pictures, but my uncle had one given to him a few years ago, along with a Marlin .22. It was from his father-in-law and he has decided to keep the .22 and was thinking about going and trading in the 600[:0] for an AR type rifle. I am going to let him know that I am interested in it. So what would be a fair price to pay for one that is in roughly this condition? I don't want to get ripped off, but then again he is my uncle, and I sure as heck don't want to do the same to him.

He won't get much over $300 as a trade-in. A fair price to pay in my opinion would be $300-$350. These retail for around $400-$450 in my part of the Country. The 600 is a nice carbine. Get it if you can. Good luck!

Agree with TW. Also, am rapidly losing faith in "the book" for values. Alternative- go over on the auction side of this board, search for remington 600 243 and select "auction cloed in last 90 days". looks like $450-550 average, depending on goodies (scope, mounts, vent ribs, etc etc. If Unk is a nice guy, and rifle is well kept, sweeten the offer a tad, since you would not be paying shipping, etc.

Thanks guys. Talked to him again earlier today and he said if I want it, it's mine, so now we just have to work out the deal.
