difference between x2 & x3 winchesters

looking to buy a 3 1/2 inch chambered gun for shooting geese. i'm seeing a semi auto winchester x2 and x3 listed, obviously the x2 is cheaper. what are the differences, and which one is the better buy? thanks

    Have you tried a Google or dogpile search? I haven't shot an auto loader shotgun in over 15 years so can't comment first hand.

    i just asked a buddy of mine. this is what he says.....

    "the x3 is half pound lighter, but I think other than that they are the same, the superx3 might have a different newer gas piston that the browning has, but I think they are all the same."

    For the new model...of course inflation is most likely factored in. I've seen some X2's as low as $600 in places that are almost brand new, while the X3's go for about $1200 generally. Most sellers on Gunbroker have them around $1000.

    I have both. As far as I can tell with both on the bench in front of me is that the X3 is about a 1/2 pound lighter and the gas system is both smaller and appears to be simplier. From what the geese and ducks DON'T tell me when I take them home there are no other real significant differences ooutside the price.
