Just a quick question. Is a Yugo SKS 59/66 eligible under a C&R?

I have sold a Mosin Nagant M44 as a parts gun.
It does not have the stock, but still has the barrel, receiver, bolt,
trigger, barrel bands and the bayonet.
Can this be shipped to a C&R?
He also has an FFL friend I can ship it to.
Just wanting to know for my information.

I have a Mauser 98 in its original configuration.
Can it be shipped by me to a C&R License Holder or would I have
to ship it to an FFL License Holder?

Since my father-in-law past away I have been keeping his auctions running
and I want to make sure everything is legal and above board.
He was an FFL dealer for 45 years.
    So your response is appreciated.

A firearm without a serial number manufactured both before and after the 50 year threshold and not on the C&R eligible list, e.g. 1955-1975. C&R eligible???

I think all guns made after 1968 have a serial number. Please check with BATFE to be sure.

It depends upon the date that specific gun was made. Those made before the 50 year date are eligible, those made after are not.

Unable to document when that particular gun was made, based on data you have? The default is NOT C&R eligible.

Neal is correct. Unless you can prove it was made in or before 1958 and that model was still made until serial numbers were required in 1968, it's not C&R eligible.

Another vote for no. Case in point- mossberg 183K bolt action shotguns- some are 50+. some 50-. Without a SN (or in the case of Remingtons, a barrel code for rifles) you cannot say that THIS firearm is 50 or over. Sorry (And I am a C&R holder, and like Mossbergs!) Have seen exceptions made where seller was original purchaser, and had original DATED sales receipt- but would need to trust that person to accept that. This will go away in 2018 when the NSN guns will be pre-68, and all be 50.
