    The 600 had a ventilated rib barrel and came in 6 calibers. The 600 Mohawk did not have the rib on the barrel and came in only 4 calibers.

    I do believe the vent rib version is a few ounces lighter due to the walnut stock instead of the hardwood stock found on most Mohawks.
    However some Mohawks that were early models of production did use walnut stocks as i have one.
    I also think the barrel contour is a bit lighter on the vent ribs.
    I own several and think the world of these little carbines.
    Very accurate and well made.
    The vent ribs fetch a higher price though.
