pretty cool didn't know you could do that but the anti's sure won't like it. Seems as fast as full auto

It is about as fast as automatic fire but very inaccurate. I have seen people do that with all sorts of semi auto rifles.

Its perfectly legal as the guns is still firing only 1 shot per pull of the trigger, but this might someday be fodder for the anti's to try justifying bans on semi auto rifles.

No, it wont destroy your gun.

I know for a fact it takes about 3500 rounds of mostly rapid fire (not that fast tho) over a 2 year period to burn out the barrel of a Mini 14...

That guy is much more strong than I am (yeah about 35 years younger too)! I can't fire a mag from my Ruger without muzzle climb. Maybe I should start working out!
It's too late for me, save yourself.

I was impressed with his control of the M1 Garand on bump fire, video is on the right.

I can't imagine a practical application of this technique. Can anyone enlighten me? My slogan is "Hits Count". Bump firing seems to be on the opposite end of the spectrum from accurate, effective fire.

    brickmaster1248,

It will if you keep doing it and keep doing it without letting the barrel cool completely down between runs.

Once in a while isn't going to do a much damage to your barrel.
