allright i am lookign for a subcompact to carry with me. i am looking at the glock 36 mainly because it is a 45 and i just wanted to get some feed back on that gun or any better ones yall know of.

Springfield Armory XD-9 or XD-40 subcompact.

I carry the Glock 26, but I would not say that it is any better or worse than the Springfield XD-9, or 40. I would hold both of these guns and see whick feels better to you. I would personally choose between these two. (or the Glock 36 as you said).

I have owned a G36 for over 4 years. Great gun, but a handful for most shooters.

I shot a subcompact XD in .40 and I did not care for it. There were no malfunctions, it just did not feel great shooting it-felt like it would slip every time I fired it. I tried different ways of holding it too-I am not recoil sensitive either as I shoot .41 & .44 mags all the time. I probably need the next bigger size XD.

This last weekend I held the glock 27,XD,S&W M&P all subcompact models all 40's and the S&W fit and felt the best in my hand

Just as the others have stated, go with the gun that fits your hand the best, also do not rule out the original sub-compact that is known as the S&W J-frame and others like it.

I'm hardly an expert on sub-compacts, but IMHO one of the best features of the Glock 36 is its slim profile. I wish Glock made a full sized .45 acp with this single stack configuration.
