hi
i have a Remington rolling block #5 patent date 1902. This one has a 3230 538 serial. Does anybody know anything about Remington serials? It is hidden under the stock. Also the wood parts are matched and stamped 538 as well. Any ideas?

They go from #1, the largest to #4 the smallest, a rimfire.
I suspect you have the #1, the largest and strongest smokeless action
made for the 7mm military rifle.
mine does not have the serial on the trigger guard, just on the metal frame under the wood stock. Any other other ideas? Here are some pics. It has the original stock and includes a cleaning rod. Any ideas on the price as well? thanks for the help

Well, I'm definitely slowing down, I just learned that Bill Wescombe sold out his Rolling Block inventory to his partner:
