Was the Marlin 336 ever made in the 219 Zipper?

    I think the 219 Zipper was obsolete when the 336 came out.

    Absolutely they were made - bought by my Dad about 1958 and I still have it. Not very common and I haven't seen any for sale, but I'm sure they're out there.

    The Marlin 336SC (Sporting Carbine) was chambered in .30-30, .35 Rem, and .219 Zipper. .219 Zipper manufactured 1955 -1960; 3,230 mfg.
    This model had the short (2/3 length) magazine tube. (2007 Blue Book)

    I think I just saw one listed in the latest Gun Digest (Gun List) magazine.
